  • Find Racine and Pascal

Well, at least the two XVIIth-century famous authors tombstones, located somewhere in the church.

The place

Located on Sainte-Geneviève hill, this church has a curved axis, from the nave to the transept, and the last remaining jube in Paris.

Made of stone and carved by Biart le Père (Biart "The Father") in 1545, this jube is a remarkable piece of work, crossing the nave and decorated with renaissance-style ornaments, with an openwork railing. As all jubes, it was used to read the Scriptures before pulpits took over the function.
