Will you be up to the challenge ?
  • The cross-legged devil

This devil is a 12-inch high sculpture with... breasts and an erected male sex. The goal for you is to find it (it's on the outside of the church). This would be Astaroth, an androgynous deity was later became a devil figure. The sculpture is thought to be of freemason inspiration.

The place

This church, located nearby the Centre Pompidou, was most likely named after Saint-Médéric, who died in 700, then canonized and renamed Saint Merri. His remains are still lying in the church's crypt.

The gothic-only church has a layout similar to Notre-Dame's. Every saturday (except during holidays) the Maîtrise de l'Académie Vocale de Paris, founded in 1993, gives a public performance at 5.45pm, just before the 6.30pm mass.
