The place

The Square (Sint-Katelijneplein in Dutch) is located at the center of Brussels, and houses several remarkable buildings, such as the tour Noire (Black Tower), one of the best-preserved remains of the first wall of Brussels, dating from mid-XIIIth century, and of course Sainte-Catherine Church.

Very enjoyable and lively, Sainte-Catherine Square also has a very good restaurant called La Belle Maraichère, and a fish bar where one can taste, for instance, a few oysters with a glass of white wine.
